The Brewery presents one of the oldest event spaces of its size across the whole of London. For Asian and Jewish wedding ceremonies in particular, there aren’t many wedding venues that compare. Set back from the busy London thoroughfare, The Brewery is located in its own private cobbled courtyard, where you can host wedding receptions in the striking glass marquee that’s constructed over the summer months. Indoors, The Brewery’s event spaces are brimming with creative potential, and their sought after blank canvas appeal can be transformed into mesmerising occasions that are suited perfectly to your personality. The events team look forward to showing you the spaces and introducing you to the award winning chefs that can curate a memorable wedding day menu.
The Porter Tun
The Porter Tun is an astonishing space to host your cultural wedding ceremony and reception. The huge unobstructed room has a charming beamed ceiling, which gives it the appearance of a rustic countryside barn. Combined with a spark of imagination and creativity, the room can be completely transformed into the theme and style that you had always hoped for. At the far end of the room, there is also a raised balcony, which makes a picturesque setting to introduce the bride and groom, to position a band and DJ or to conduct speeches. The wooden floor makes a clean simple finish to the room, and there's also no need to invest in an external dance floor.
Sugar Rooms
Bright, airy and aesthetically pleasing, the Sugar Rooms' high beams and arched factory windows give an attractive colonial feel. The white walls compliment the wooden floor and the stripped back barn style allows you to decorate the room in a multitude of styles, from traditional to ultra modern. Even just a few crisp floral displays and chiavari chairs will lift the space, and the floor to ceiling length windows guarantee beautiful photography. These two rooms are of equal size above one another, with a private staircase. They were once the storage rooms for the sugar used in beer production. Their sweet legacy continues today, as a setting for wedding vows and declarations of love.
King George III
The King George III room is named after the English King who came to visit the Whitbread brewery during its factory years. The Brewery once attracted a lot of royal notice, which was an indication of its high quality and impact on the London drinks industry. The barrel vaulted ceiling and exposed brickwork create a unique intimacy despite the large volume of space. In each of the upper alcoves, the traditional lanterns add another point of interest, and the modern LED lighting is inter dispersed to further enhance the party atmosphere. This room is adjacent to the Queen Charlotte room, and so these two spaces can be used in conjunction for the whole course of your wedding day.
Queen Charlotte
Elegant, refined and sophisticated, the Queen Charlotte Room is another warm and inviting event space at The Brewery that can host up to 200 guests. This characterful room has its own hidden bar, so it works especially well as a pre-dinner reception space before your guests are guided into the King George III. Alternatively, the Queen Charlotte suite works well as its own self-contained event space for the entirety of your day. Whichever layout or use you opt for, the in-house wedding coordinator can help you with a variety of ideas, and connect you with reputable suppliers to style the space and cater for your wedding event. It's a classical space that you can really make your own.
